About Distance Education in the Philippines

Distance Education Blog.com is a blog all about the Distance Education scene here in the Philippines. This blog is maintained and operated by Jeric Peña. This blog will mainly focus on his life as a distance education student of the University of the Philippines Open University. Aside from his experiences as a distance learner, this blog would also give tips and tutorials on how to survive / excel in an open learning and distance education setting.

Jeric Peña, 19 years old, is a graduate of the University of the Philippines, Open University with a degree of Associate in Arts. He is now a student at the University of the Philippines, Diliman taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Communication Arts-English and minor in Special Education. Anna Katharina Peña is a returning graduate student of the University of the Philippines, Open University now taking up Master in Distance Education. She also received her Master of Public Health degree from the same university in 2000. She is a physician, a registered nurse and a professor all at the time. Dianne Kristin Peña, a registered nurse, is also a graduate student of the University of the Philippines, Open University taking up Master of Arts in Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the Far Eastern University in 2009. She also blogs at http://www.littlenars.com.
